Health needs watching this year, especially during the first half of the year. While the aspects are nowhere near as severe as they were in 2011 and 2012, they still strongly affect you. Three long-term planets are in stressful alignment with you until July 16. Part of the problem is that your 6th house of health is basically empty (only short-term planets will move through there). Thus you might not be paying attention even though you should. It will take conscious effort on your part to stay on the case healthwise.
Having three long-term planets stressing you is difficult enough, but there will be times in the year when the short-term planets will join the party and these will be particularly vulnerable times. This year these periods will be from March 21 to April 19 and from June 21 to July 16. Be sure to get as much rest as possible at those times. It might be good to book regular massages, reflexology or acupuncture treatments then, or to perhaps spend some free time at a health spa in your area. This is a good idea for the first half of the year, but especially during those periods.
Adequate rest and maintaining high energy levels is your first line of defence. But it will also be good to give more attention to the following areas – the vulnerable areas of your Horoscope. (The reflexes for these areas are shown in the chart.)
Pay attention to the heart. Avoid worry and anxiety as much as possible, as these are two emotions that are the spiritual root causes of heart problems. If there is something positive to be done about a situation by all means do it. If not, pray, and let go. The worry does nothing to help the situation.
The spine, knees, teeth, bones, skin and overall skeletal alignment are also vulnerable areas. Regular back and knee massages will be powerful, and give the knees more support when exercising. Regular visits to a chiropractor or osteopath will be a good idea – the vertebrae need to be kept in right alignment. If you’re out in the sun use a good sun screen. Yoga, Pilates, the Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais are excellent therapies for the spine.
Other vulnerable areas are the lungs, small intestine, arms, shoulders and respiratory system. Regular arm and shoulder massages will be beneficial here. Tension tends to collect in the shoulders and needs to be released regularly.
Mercury, your health planet, is a fast-moving planet. Except for the Moon he is the fastest in the zodiac. Every year he will visit – at some time or another – every sign and house in your chart. Mercury will go retrograde three times this year – from February 6 to the 28th, from June 7 to July 2 and from October 4 to the 25th. These are times to review your health goals and see where improvements can be made. They are not times for making drastic health decisions or changes. (Often we are sorely tempted to do this, but it is best avoided.)
Pluto has been in your sign for many years now, which indicates a tendency to surgery, especially of the cosmetic type. It doesn’t mean that you have to do it, but that you would be more inclined.
